Transformation Delivered: Project Success in a Digital World

Digital transformation is the continual challenge of enabling, sometimes disrupting, business models and their associated activities, organizations, and competencies by leveraging newly available technology.  More often than not, this involves taking the business processes that have traditionally been performed within the four walls of our organizations and shifting them closer to the edge of the enterprise. Successful digital initiatives require us to rethinking projects and how they executed in order to deliver value for our businesses and their customers. In short: digital transformation requires superior project management.

However, these new business models, as well as the solutions that support them necessitate changing how we think about business analysis. This presentation will introduce the concept of digital transformation and discuss how the role of the project manager needs to shift to accommodate digital initiatives that are top-of-mind for every organization and CIO.  Techniques and case studies will be discussed with the goal of enabling project managers to better understand business models, customers, and the opportunity for disruption. The audience will walk away better equipped to take on the challenge of digital transformation project and drive them to success.
