The dangers of wearing two hats: PM and BA

Tuesday, May 2, 2017 -
05:30 to 08:30

Throughout our lives, we wear different hats.  Some more often than others.  Even during a given day, the hats can change on a frequent basis.  It’s just a fact of our modern-day lives.

But what problems and challenges can this cause?

Kim Vining is primarily a project manager at the NYS Teachers’ Retirement System, but she also wears several hats there, including business analyst.  Over her career, she has also worn other, more technical hats.  She will share her insights to the topics that this can bring to the individual and to the organization.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain a better realization of the roles we assume.
  • Understand what potential conflicts exist.
  • Be better prepared to prevent and to address issues when they arise.
