Recent Developments in Project Management and How They Impact the Team

Tuesday, March 7, 2017 -
05:30 to 08:00

A broad array of new developments and challenges are impacting the project process and the dynamics of project teams. The economic landscape is changing rapidly and organizations are trying their best to keep up with the competitive environment through new products, services, and process improvements. Mergers, acquisitions, downsizing, and co-location strategies are common-place across all industries. New laws, tools, methodologies and certifications need to be considered as we keep our skills relevant and essential to the organizations that we work with.

How can we be effective with these distractions? How can we ensure that our participation on the project team continues to be effective and meaningful to the overall needs of the organization? How can we continue to produce our best work when we are faced with the uncertainty of the competitive climate?

We will discuss some of the ways in which we can continue to be productive during an especially challenging period in our work history.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain a better appreciation of the challeneges facing projects teams today.
  • Learn how to remain effective.
