Aman Sahni, CBAP, CSM, SCJP
Aman has over 16 years of experience working as a Business Architect / Analyst. He has 11 years of experience serving clients within New York State Health and Human Services (HHS) cluster, primarily state and local. Aman is currently working as a Business Architect and Analyst with NY State Department of Health (eMedNY). He also has extensive experience for independent verification and validation (IV&V) and quality assurance (QA) projects. 

Aman is a Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Certified JAVA Developer (SCJP). He also holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from University at Albany and Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication. In the past, Aman worked as an adjunct faculty with the Dept. of Computer Science at Siena College in Loudonville, NY. He is passionate in helping clients towards multidimensional business views of capabilities, organizational structure, reusing existing capabilities within the organization and helps in establishing standards which are customizable and traceable. 

Aman joined IIBA in 2014 and since then he is following BABOK standards while working for his clients within state and local. He recently joined the Albany chapter and attended the Albany Business Analysis Development event (ABADD) in March 2021 and got very excited that Albany chapter is bringing all the professionals under the same roof to share their knowledge and best practices. 

Aman is seeking a Member at Large position as he would be a great fit due to his business analysis experience and passion towards the profession. He can influence and mentor others, share and gain the knowledge and expertise which will allow professionals and clients to save time, effort, and opportunity cost while working on a project / assignment.   

In a nutshell, Aman is a Strategy Translator: defines the areas for improvements and changes necessary to carry out strategy or reshape the business, Map Maker: creating and maintaining the knowledge base within organization, and Practice Manager: helps maturing decisions with facts which are tied all the way back to the organizational capabilities.
