Up Coming Chapter Board Elections

The chapter's annual General Meeting is quickly approaching and that means we will be holding elections for Board of Director positions. This year chapter members will vote for candidates to fill the position of President, Treasurer, Vice President of  Marketing, and Vice President of Membership.  A description of the positions can be found in our chapter bylaws: https://albanyny.iiba.org/acd-chapter-bylaws 

The strength of our chapter is fueled by members being actively involved, not only by participating in meetings and events but also by contributing to the leadership process. If you have thought about running in the past but put it off, you should act on it now. If you have never thought about it before, consider it now.  Involvement with the Board of Directors can be rewarding both professionally and personally. 

You are invited to submit a nominee, yourself or another chapter member, to fill one of the positions. There is one requirement; to be a board member you must be an active member (both IIBA and Chapter). If more than one person is nominated for any position, each candidate will make a brief presentation at the General Meeting scheduled for May 7th. Chapter members will then privately vote their choice.

All nominations need to be submitted by April 19th, 2019, and should be sent to Paul Franz, Chair of the Election Committee, at pfranz@nystec.com. Include the name of the person and the position.
