Solution Lifecycle Management: Looking Beyond the Application

Tuesday, November 7, 2017 -
17:30 to 20:00
0.00 CAD

When working on a project, it is easy to get caught up in the current tasks and forget the target solution is more than just the immediate application. While the application is important, and often
critical to the solution, it needs to exist in a larger environment – people, systems, roles, security... The solution also needs to be structured to enforce the current procedures and rules, and flexible enough
to accommodate changes over time. This full picture is referred to as Lifecycle Management (LM). But what is LM? If you ask around, you’ll find that people having differing interpretations. So, what is it
and how can it improve our work?

LM includes all parts of a solution’s life; the complete picture from the initial request, enhancements, through to retirement. David and Daniel's roles include supporting solutions throughout their life. They
have watched and experienced the growing pains. They will share their perspectives on LM, going beyond what is commonly taught, and drawing from their experiences. Learn how LM can help make a
better impact, and do so more efficiently.

Learning Objectives:
• What is Lifecycle Management and how can it be applied to a project
• How to use Lifecycle Management to coordinate between teams
